GamerNexus

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

This policy explains what Gamer Nexus ("we", "us") collects, why, who we share it with, and how you get rid of it. Gamer Nexus is operated by Gamer Nexus.

The short version. We collect what the app needs to schedule your matches and connect you with other players - your account, your game library, your platform handles, and your messages. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, we do not embed advertising or analytics trackers, we never see your payment card, and we do not collect your location. You can delete everything from inside the app at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account and identity

Gamer Nexus does not use passwords. You sign in with Google or Apple, and we receive your email address and, where the provider supplies it, your name. We store that alongside an internal account identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose "Hide My Email", we only ever receive Apple's private relay address.

Profile and preferences

Gaming platform connections

These are optional and entirely under your control. You can unlink them at any time.

We do not request or store passwords for any gaming platform.

Activity in the app

Social and safety

Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store a push token for each device and whether it is iOS or Android. That token identifies the device to the notification service, not you personally.

Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed by RevenueCat. We store your plan, status, renewal date, and an anonymous subscriber identifier. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment credential - those stay with Apple or Google.

Feedback

Bug reports and ideas you submit in the app are stored with your account so we can follow up and, if we ship the fix, credit it in the changelog.

Technical data

Our servers keep standard operational logs, and we use a rate-limiting service that briefly records request metadata (including IP address) to block abuse. These logs are used for security and reliability, not profiling.

2. What we do not collect

3. How we use your information

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles for anyone else's benefit.

4. What other people can see

Gamer Nexus is a social product, so some information is visible to others by design:

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We use the following service providers, each of which processes data only to make Gamer Nexus work:

ProviderWhat it handles
SupabaseAuthentication, database, file storage, and realtime chat delivery
Google & AppleSign-in, and app store purchases
RevenueCatSubscription status and entitlements
Expo, Apple APNs, Google FCMPush notification delivery
UpstashRate limiting and caching
Steam Web API (Valve)Retrieving your Steam profile, only if you link Steam
OpenXBLRetrieving your Xbox profile, only if you link Xbox
IGDB (Twitch)The game catalog. We request game data, never your personal data.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of our users.

6. Where your data is stored

Data is stored on servers operated by our infrastructure providers, which may be located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. It removes your profile, platform links, library, friends and requests, blocks, conversation memberships and the messages you sent, your matches and tournament entries, your push tokens, your feedback, and your subscription records, and it deletes the underlying sign-in identity so the account cannot be recovered.

Two things survive, and neither identifies you: aggregate records that no longer reference your account, and abuse reports filed about the deleted account, which we retain to protect other users. Cancelling a paid subscription is handled through the App Store or Google Play, not by us - deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Most of this is available directly in the app - your profile is editable and account deletion is one screen away. For anything else, email support@gamer-nexus.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (running the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (safety, abuse prevention, and improving the app), and consent (push notifications and optional platform links, both of which you can withdraw at any time).

If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and you will never be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

9. Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are stored in the device's secure keystore. Database access is restricted by row-level security policies, and administrative access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.

10. Children

Gamer Nexus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it. Some regions set a higher minimum age for consent to data processing; where that applies, you must meet that age to use Gamer Nexus.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Gamer Nexus after that means you accept the updated policy.
