Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 17 September 2026

Gamer Nexus is operated by Gamer Nexus (“we”, “us”). We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. This page sets out the standards we hold every user to, how we handle child sexual abuse material, and how you can report a concern. It applies to the Gamer Nexus app and website.

The short version. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is strictly prohibited on Gamer Nexus. We act on every report, remove offending content, permanently ban the accounts responsible, report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement, and provide the reporting tools and point of contact described below.

1. Definitions

CSAE (child sexual abuse and exploitation) means any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. This includes, but is not limited to, grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion, trafficking of a child for sexual purposes, and any other sexualisation of a minor.

CSAM (child sexual abuse material) means any visual depiction, including photographs, videos and computer-generated or AI-generated imagery, of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

A “child” or “minor” is anyone under the age of 18, regardless of the age of consent or majority where they live.

2. Our standards

The following are prohibited on Gamer Nexus and result in immediate removal and a permanent ban:

  • Creating, sharing, requesting, linking to or storing CSAM in any profile, message, image, match, post or username.
  • Grooming, or any attempt to establish contact with a minor for a sexual purpose.
  • Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate imagery to coerce a person.
  • Sexualising a minor in text, imagery or conversation, including sexual comments directed at a child.
  • Using Gamer Nexus to facilitate the sexual exploitation, abuse or trafficking of a child in any way.

These standards apply to all interactions on the platform: direct, group and match conversations, profiles and display names, uploaded images, public matches, and “looking to play” posts.

3. How we handle CSAM and CSAE

When we become aware of CSAM or CSAE, whether through a user report or our own review, we:

  • Remove the content as quickly as we can.
  • Permanently ban the account or accounts involved and block their access to the service.
  • Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, and to other competent authorities where required by law.
  • Preserve the relevant records as required so they are available to law enforcement, and cooperate with lawful investigations.

We do not tip off the reported account about the substance of a report, and we do not retaliate against people who report in good faith.

4. Reporting a concern in the app

Every user can report content and behaviour directly inside Gamer Nexus. There is a Report action on user profiles, matches, “looking to play” posts and individual messages. You choose a reason, can add a note, and we review every report to enforce these standards and our Terms of Service.

You can also block any user from their profile, which stops them from contacting you or seeing your activity. Blocking a user does not withdraw a report you have already filed.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. You can report CSAM directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org, and, in many countries, to your national hotline via INHOPE.

5. Minimum age

Gamer Nexus is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to data processing where you live, to hold an account. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to use the service, and if we learn that an under-13 account exists we remove it. See our Privacy Policy for how we treat children’s data.

6. Compliance with child safety laws

We comply with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where Gamer Nexus is available, including obligations to report and, where required, to preserve CSAM and cooperate with the relevant authorities. These standards are reviewed and updated as our product and the law evolve, and are aligned with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy.

7. Child safety point of contact

For any question or report relating to child safety, CSAE or CSAM on Gamer Nexus, contact our designated child safety point of contact:

Gamer Nexus - Child Safety
support@gamer-nexus.com

Please include “Child Safety” in the subject line so we can prioritise it. Reports of this nature are escalated and handled promptly.

These standards work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
